D12 only sends three to regions, is that still right?
If someone did D12 rankings then we'd have a better idea. I can venture a few guesses having seen a few results...
103- McCall and Bonner's Ryan Kiefer are the standout 103's, no question they should be the D12 final. GW senior Luis Colon is doing well for himself, he could be the 3rd.
112- No one really jumping out here at this weight. I'd probably go with LaSalle's Pflanz as the champ since he is a returning regional qualifier. Bonner soph Tommy Flynn also having a nice year, he should also be at regions. Bonner is very, very good up top and down low. I'd guess Wood's McDermott as a 3rd in that mix.
119- Bongard is unbeaten and should easily win this weight unless Casey Kent is here. Conwell-Egan senior Pat Hecker also a returning regional qualifier likely to be here.
125- Kent if he stays here, and NEC's Dave Davidson too. That could be a real good final, Davidson has improved dramatically this year.
130- Unless Cimato drops here, I don't have any ideas who wins this weight at D12. LaSalle's Nick Mathis and O'Hara's Ed Christie look decent enough.
135- Cimato by a mile, no one here touches him. Mazzi just as easily if both drop a weight. Roman Catholic senior Tom Desiderio was a regional qualifier last year.
140- White vs Mazzi would be awesome as usual. O'Hara soph Christian Ostrowki could contend for a spot.
145- I have zero clue here. I'd guess NEC's Thomas Goodyear.
152- Springer without breaking much if any sweat. GW senior Dan Kasmiarv is decent enough to make regions.
160- Nick Burns wins it, Northeast High's Anthony DiPietro a returning regional qualifier who should also be here.
171- LaSalle's C.J Burns, and Bonner's Nick Maiale the best here.
189- LaSalle frosh P.J Steinmetz, Roman junior Tyreef Cash, and Bonner soph Joe Spaeder (returning regional qualifier) plus Northeast High's Gordon Wigington all in the mix here.
215- NEC soph A.J Vizcarrando seems to be the popular choice, but I'd go with Bonner's Marcus Collins, he is a beast no one talks much about. LaSalle's Steve Jones should also be here.
285- NEC junior Reith look as good as anyone as far as making states at 285. Bonner's Mike Murphy and LaSalle's Ryan Geiger also look good so far.
That's all I have.

There are a couple tough 112 lbers from the public league, ricardo robles from edison and darrell bailey (cheltenham transfer) from washington who could make an impact. the 215 lber from washington , nariman lomidze won a match at regionals last year but the pcl guys listed are too tough for him to crack thru.

My pleasure Sal, and I hope it helped answer some of Max's questions.
87, thanks for the input. The problem with the PPL guys is that their results are rarely entered here. Just ths past week I took care of updating Bonner and LaSalle's results (I was shocked no one was taking care of LaSalle) and I started working on GW to see if Colon was still unbeaten since I like the lightweights best. If only someone would step up and help out. It would make it a lot easier for someone out there to do their rankings.

aj might be a popular choice because he just beat marcus collins on saturday, although it was a good match that came down to a last second take down, imo i dont think it will come down to that next time they meet. aj has been wrestling really well since ETR & alot of coaches are impressed with his wrestling style.

A Bongard / Kent match would be nice to watch but I would say Bongard gets the win.

If Collins meets Vizcarrondo again, I honestly believe Marcus will win it not easily but with a decent cushion, if he wants to, he could easily turn that match into a takedown clinic, the only reason he ever loses is between his ears.

Yes, how would the turnout at 105 or 114 look if Barbieri wrestle's with Bonner. He's been attending the school for the past week or so I believe..

Yes he started at Bonner last Fri. Have not heard anything about what weight class he is looking at. I would imagine he could do really well at either.

A White and Mazzi match will never occur. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its a duck. Or Should I plainly say the Lasalle kid is ducking Mr. White???

I don't think Mazzi ducked White, it was a better coaching move to take the 3 rather than risk Mazzi losing and the 45 getting decked possibly....if 140 had been the last match and it was out of reach they would have wrestled.

no way mazzi was running. if you read the paper the day after the matches, it was stated that since it started at 140 lasalle forefitted that match to take the thunder out of the crowd. smart plan by coach vic!! but i do hope to see them wrestle at the section 8 individuals. white ran last year from mazzi once he took the led. so a rematch shoud be really good.

Hey heffer, it wasn't Mazzi's choice not to wrestle White. As has been stated (if you knowhow to read) it was a coaches decision. Joey was jacked for the match up. Mo-ron.

greg, i thought it was only 2 from d12, 5 from d1 north and 5 from d1 south making a 12 man bracket at regionals. not 100% though ill bet someone knows for sure.
